100 years of screening

31. January 2022

Coal has shaped the Ruhr region – like hardly anything else in the last 100 years. So it is not surprising that our roots can also be found here.

Before we moved to Mülheim an der Ruhr, SIEBTECHNIK GmbH had its production facilities in „Bleichstraße“ in Duisburg. Here is a picture from 1946.

Even though the basic principle of sieving has not changed, it quickly becomes clear that technically nothing has remained the same. According to “higher, faster, further”, a lot has developed and, with the markets, the areas of application have also become more diverse.

The colleagues from „Bleichstraße“ would certainly never have dreamed that feed rates of up to 7,000 t/h, remote commissioning, remote maintenance and online diagnostics would at some point become part of our daily business.

Current screening machines in German gravel and crushed stone plants process feed quantities of around 500 t/h without any problems. In these plants, saleable end products are graded with low proportions of oversize particles.

Internationally, ore deposits with feed rates of up to 7,000 t/h are processed in prescreening plants.

Our screening machines and jigs are represented in these plants worldwide, and of course our process engineers will be happy to advise you on your application.
